Alan Peeters – Powerlifting & coaching
EU champ benchpress 2017
& multiple national powerlifting champ since 2010 (Antwerp)

“The reason I attended the mobility seminar is because mobility is very important in powerlifting! Good mobility influences your technique and that often results in more weight  on the bar. Ankle, knee and hip mobility is most important to properly performing a squat.

As a coach, it is often a matter of finding what your client needs to change and which exercises he/she needs to do in order to perform that nice deep, straight squat.

After this seminar I’ve become much wiser through the screening tests of the various joints.

I can analyze my client much better. Thank you for that. Highly recommended for any athlete. Not just CrossFitters or fitness athletes, but certainly also for powerlifters!”

Dennis Van Vlaenderen – CrossFit & Coach – Owner of Meuse Functional Fitness

As coaches at Meuse Functional Fitness, we try to get our athletes to move as well and safely as possible. In the past we often had to deal with (early) injuries that are often due to mobility issues and ignorance. We tried to give the athletes individual mobility tips or to have them work in groups on mobility & stability.

To tackle this on a large scale, we started working with Lisa and started the first seminars. Almost all of our members have completed this seminar and have now become a lot wiser in terms of mobility & stability. In a seminar you find your own weaknesses and you get the tools to work on them, so every athlete has ‘homework’ on their size.

Now we regularly see that athletes use their ‘free’ open gym hours to work on their mobility and stability (instead of doing some extra workouts) so that they can continue to train healthy for a long time. Which we LOVE to see!

The seminars (L1: mobility and L2: stability) were very well received by our members and everyone was very positive about what they learned and the progressions afterwards! We look forward to hosting these seminars again in the future for our new athletes and for refresher training for the ‘old’ members.

Ruud Kool – CrossFit (Limburg)

As a former professional footballer, I have severe osteoarthritis in my knees and ankles.

Through these seminars I have learned where my mobility limitations and stability problems lie. I also learned that there is still a lot of room for improvement, so you can quickly see and feel improvement. I can now move much more freely and continue to do CrossFit without pain”

Lennert Schreurs  – CrossFit (Limburg)

“Very interesting and informative seminar! Not only did I learn the difference between mobility and stability, but I also discovered which parts of my body are or are not mobile and/or stable enough.”

Arne De Bruyne – CrossFit (West Flanders)

“Exercise is healthy….but what if you have pain and inflammation for months and even years, have to visit doctors, have to do scans several times, can’t sleep…? All those years of twisting and overcompensating my body made me question if I shouldn’t stop doing CrossFit.

After some individual tests and exercises, Lisa soon realized that my upper back mobility was the cause of my pain. The group seminar was also an eye-opener, however frustrating at times, to see how poor my mobility is. That session proved that with the right exercises, effort and frequency, your mobility can seriously increase. You don’t work on your mobility for just a few minutes before or after a training. I see it as a training in its own and the result is impressive. I am still building up, but in the meantime I can train pain-free and also sleep!”
